Demo Patch 1.75 Changelog

Hey there starchasers! I'm going to start attaching actual changelogs to these uploads, so that people can better know what was changed, and what known bugs are... uh, known.

Anyway, without further ado, here's patch 1.75!

KNOWN ISSUES:

  • Cockpit models are currently placeholders.
  • Station interior models and lighting are all currently placeholders.
  • Joystick and controller support vestigial and more or less not implemented and having a controller plugged in can introduce weirdness.
  • NPC chatter happens much too frequently.
  • Initial loading times are still long and the game might freeze up during it, please be patient.
  • RAM usage is very high, especially on Linux.
  • Fading transitions might sometimes be interrupted or sudden.
  • Campaign and quest dialogue is currently unvoiced or temporarily voiced.
  • Cursor can be moved outside of the window with dual monitors in most circumstances.

NEW FEATURES

  • Game now saves total playtime, mission states, and boss destruction states.
  • Equipment buttons now have color states for toggleable equipment such as drones.
  • Mission improvements! Mission archetypes are the same, but mission flavor texts and similar are much more varied! Friendly NPCs can now assist you on combat missions, and large kill missions have more variety and spawn enemies to defend themselves.
  • Cockpit overlay can be enabled or disabled in the settings.
  • Various news stories have been added to space stations.
  • Inventory and shops now display the damage per second on gun items!

  • The game will no longer autosave when loading a save.
  • Ammo costs on ships are now calculated correctly when using the quick-service system.
  • Manual docking on planets is much more reliable.
  • Deaddrop missions are now considered contraband (unless stated otherwise) and can fail if you give up that contraband.
  • Linux builds now default to Vulkan rendering.
  • Manual docking and camera states are now saved between play sessions.
  • Game saves now report date in addition to time.
  • Strafe up and down are now separate keys.
  • Slider values on the options menu can now be input directly.
  • Navigation grid now occludes background effects for readability.
